This work installing gabions was in our garden and I can’t tell you how hard Chris, Mike and Kyle worked on it. They started on 5 January and finally completed in early March. 9 weeks in all. The weather was horrendous most of the time. Snow, frosts and plenty of (torrential) rain.
We were impressed by the professional attitude displayed at all times by all three of the team, even when the weather was doing it’s worst and we are incredibly pleased with the finished result.
This review is late in being published because we have spent the last 3 months dealing with the aftermath of such a major restructure of our garden.
Before they started work we had 2 areas of garden, a sunny area near the house and a more shady area across the garden separated by a very awkward no-go zone which was rather an eye-sore and not particularly safe to traverse, especially after dark. Now the work is complete and the ground behind the large gabions levelled out considerably (by infilling with soil dug out during the work), we have a new area of garden which we’ve just finished planting up. It already looks radically different to how it used to but give it a year to grow and establish and it will look amazing.
There’s also a new green house on the concrete pad Chris and team put down for us with an area of hardstanding outside for all my plants. The work they undertook for us has truly made our garden something very special. We had to wait 10 months for them to start but it was most definitely worth the wait.
We thoroughly recommend Chris, Mike and Kyle if you need any garden works undertaking.
From a bare piece of dirt full of weeds in a new build we waited for Chris to be free to create our garden. What a garden he has created. My original plan turned into a wonderful place to play, a natural pond, running water, beech trees, a conifer, grasses, wisteria and a low maintenance flint area and bark bed.
Nice shaped small easy to maintain lawn edged in lovely black flint pavers.
The pond is beautifully planted with some wonderful Forest of Dean stone as a viewing platform. The addition of lights make it a stunning feature. Some pleached trees to come and some mahogany battening on the wall and it’s finished. We waited I think 6 months for him to be free for us and all I can say is he and his colleague Mike are worth the wait. Not one issue during a 4 week nearly 5 week build. Get a quote at take his advice he knows his stuff and as a husband, happy wife, happy life. Life is good indeed, cheers Chris and you to Mike.
Chris had his work cut out digging up the crazy paving on our path and patio, but he and Mike set to it with gusto!
The re-laying of the stones and applying the grouting was a truly professional job, always checking levels to ensure the best result in a decidedly unlevel garden.
They also coped admirably with a slightly wayward Jack Russell! Replacing some fencing and a gate put the final touches to our patio.
Communication with Chris was exceptional right from the start, and he and Mike were a pleasure to have around. Great job Chris and Mike. Thank you.
